Meet your horse trainer

David comes from a long line of horse trainers and breeders, from the heart of saddle bred horse country, Lexington Kentucky.  As the fourth generation and youngest son in an equestrian family, David’s love of horses started before he could walk, with his dad toting him along in the barn while he managed his daily work with the animals.

An equestrian career spanning four decades has taken David all over the country - from Florida to California, Washington, Oregon, the Carolinas, Tennessee and more, filling rolls as rider, trainer and exhibitor. Specializing in show horses, David has helped youth and amateur riders as well as young horses earn reserve and national champion titles.

Currently, David is at Rainwater Farms in Fresno, California where he can be found early mornings, working with the horses he loves and fulfilling his favorite role, as a trainer and ambassador for the sport. 

From novice riders, to seasoned equestrians, David’s methodical knowledge of the horse and the mechanics of a proper ride, have propelled his students forward in their goals. His instruction is rooted in rider safety and grounded in best practices for horse care and maintenance.
