Introduction to Riding
This three-part series of workshops is designed for novice, for those who want to learn more about the sport of riding but aren’t sure where to start. In this three-week series of one-hour lessons you’ll learn the basics for horse care and maintenance, how to move safely around a horse, the different types and styles of riding, and you will learn how to mount, walk, steer, and stop your horse.
Horse, tack, and helmet are included. First lesson is on the ground (no riding).

Lessons
Each lesson is tailored to the horse and rider. David provides lessons to seasoned riders and beginners. Expect approximately 30 minutes of on the horse instruction with 15-30 minutes of pre and post lesson discussion, for a total of one hour.
$75 each at Rainwater Farms(plus $20 haul in fee)
$125 for travel to your home barn

Full Training
For dedicated students who wish to move on to showing, we offer a full training package for a monthly fee. This includes training of both the horse and the rider, full care and oversight of horse’s well-being and maintenance.
Spacing is limited, you must inquire to David for pricing and availability.

Horse Training
David specializes in training American Saddlebred and Morgan horses for driving and under saddle. He also trains green horses, and can start and finish yearling horses for a variety of disciplines. Over the span of his career he has had the opportunity to work at some large scale horse training operations and has trained hundreds of horses.
